Wedgwood Tea Products

Tea drinking is very popular in England. It was also like then when there are tea served in important china tea pots or in expensive silver tea services. This includes a cream jug and a sugar bowl to make the tea set complete. Tea is also popular in other European countries, they have different tastes, but when it comes to tea they make sure that it is served with elegance and royalty-like.

It is not very long when English potters learned or began to make teapots and services. Unlike silver and china tea pots, Josiah Wedgwood as one of the potters made it less expensive but with high quality materials used in them. After many experiments and failure, he created a fine, cream-colored earthenware that was far superior to most other local wares. That is why in 1765 when Josiah was commissioned by the Queen Charlotte of England to create a tea set. She was so pleased with the outcome and she named Josiah “Her Majesty’s Potter” and allowed him to call the new stoneware “Queen’s Ware.”

Today, other dinnerware sets and tea sets were made from Queen’s ware. Many people are looking specifically for Wedgwood products not because of the design alone but because of the sturdiness and the pattern that is unique from other sets. Wedgwood tea products have a wide range of types and colors to its collection. But remember that when you’re getting Wedgwood, you are also getting the finest quality dinnerware that is part of history and recognized as one of the best around the world.
