Villeroy and Boch – Past and Present

Villeroy and Boch started way back 1748 and a small pottery in what is now known as Luxembourg.  The company name was taken from its founders Francois Boch and his former rival Nicholas Villeroy when they merged in 1836.  They became not only business partners when a marriage between two family members.  These strengthen their bonds and helped seal the business union better.

Villeroy and Boch celebrated its 250th anniversary and reaching this historic milestone is a clear proof to the vision of Villeroy and Boch and each succeeding generation of family who have brought new life and interpretation, ideas and quality to each product.  Today, the 8th generation of Villeroy and Boch continues to manage the company--upholding the high standards of design and quality which have earned the brand its status image.

Now, Villeroy and Boch is the largest ceramics producer around the world.  They make everything from egg cups, vases to bath tubs.   Like other manufacturers, Villeroy and Boch produces dinnerware in various patterns and design using materials like porcelain, bone china and earthenware.  Many people are not surprise with the consistency of the company’s products.  Villeroy and Boch also offer crystal and glass stemware and giftware, stainless steel cutlery and even oven to tableware items.  All has because of the continuous perseverance to provide the finest products to their customers.  They lived with it, experiment with new ideas and deliver superb quality in each of them.  Truly a top class in manufacturing finest dinnerware and other needed materials.
